My Two Cats-Batman and Robin

My Two Year Old Cats- Batman and Robin

Cats are among the most intelligent creatures on the planet. Although studies on feline intelligence are ongoing, scientists believe that cats are uniquely smart when compared to dogs and other animals. And of course, if you're a cat owner, you've likely seen evidence of your cat's intelligence firsthand.
Yes, I have 2 cats and this post will show you how smart Batman & Robin are.
1. They mew when they want to get out to enjoy the patio.
2. At exactly 7AM, they climb in my bed to wake me up and get fed.
3. They respond to my clapping and voice commands.
4. When they see me holding my back scratcher, it's time for them to get out of my way.
5. They respond with affection, when I pet them looking at me with their doleful eyes.
6. They know when I am tired. They will lie down by my side and stay close.
7. When I am in the computer room, both of them keep me company even If I ignored them because I am busy writing.
8. After I returned to the apartment after a long absence, Robin greets me with a big mew. Batman brushes my legs and wants to be petted by lying his back on the floor.

Based on several studies, behaviorists believe an adult cat's intelligence is comparable to that of a 2-year-old human toddler. Studies have shown cats have object permanence recognition, an awareness of objects that aren't directly visible. That is, out of sight doesn't mean vanished forever.
Cats are known for their aloof personalities and mysterious natures, which often gives the impression that they're more intelligent. But both cats and dogs have high levels of intelligence in different ways. For example, cats are often better problem-solvers, while dogs excel at social intelligence.
Cats can recognize their owners' faces, voices, and scents. Even though cats don't have the same eyesight as humans, but they can still distinguish between familiar and unfamiliar faces. They may also use body language and tone of voice to recognize their owners.

I adopted B& R when they were 4 and 6 weeks old. They are now 2 years old. Here are two short stories of their adoption.

Lastly, here are some famous quotes about cats
  • “In ancient times cats were worshipped as gods; they have not forgotten this.” – Terry Pratchett
  • “I had been told that the training procedure with cats was difficult. It’s not. Mine had me trained in two days.” – Bill Dana
  • “Cats are inquisitive, but hate to admit it.” – Mason Cooley
  • “As anyone who has ever been around a cat for any length of time well knows, cats have enormous patience with the limitations of the humankind.” – Cleveland Amory
  • “I have studied many philosophers and many cats. The wisdom of cats is infinitely superior.” – Hippolyte Taine

Sunset Afterglow
Most Beautiful Sunset Ever Photographed

Chateau Du Mer Beach Resort and Conference Center

These are the reviews from from two of our guests published at the Trip Adviser web site. Visit the Trip Adviser website for additional details. 1.What a peaceful place to spend relaxing time in Marinduque! The cottage is very comfortable, and right on the beach, with a large deck for watching the sunset. The location in Boac (and not too far from Gasan) is well placed for a home base for day trips around Marinduque. But the best part of our stay here was the graciousness of the hosts, David and Macrine. They are warm-hearted, know the island well, and truly made us feel at home. Although we were there to explore the island and relax, the property has a great conference/meeting facility as well. Highly recommended. 2. Nestled against the beach, this cottage on stilts was a great place to spend a week away from all the insanity of urban life. With a spacious deck, two bedrooms, a living room and a full kitchen, my entire family truly enjoyed their stay. The hosts, Dave and Macrine do everything possible to make you feel like family, while still giving you space and privacy. The beach is all of 25 feet away and early morning walks on the beach are what I remember most. My kids were fascinated with the bamboo flooring. A reef is just off shore and filled with beautiful fish to enjoy while snorkeling. I would go back in a minute if I could.

I love Sunsets! How About You?

1. Sunset from Balcony of the Chateau Du Mer Beach House, Amoingon, Boac, Marinduque, Philippines Over the years, I have seen and photographed several dozens of sunsets in several countries that my wife and I have visited. We have been to Marbella, Spain, Rome, Italy, London,England, Vancouver, B.C., Cancun, Mexico, Aruba, Hawaii( Maui, Kawaii, Big Island), Puerto Rico and most of the US big cities, New York, Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco, Chicago, Kansas City, St Louis, Miami, New Orleans, Washington, D.C., Las Vegas, NV, Houston, TX and other small cities . But the two most beautiful sunsets that stir my emotion are the one at Amoingon Bay (#1- taken at the balcony of our Chateau Du Mer Beach house-top photo) and the one over Manila Bay(# 9 photo). You will probably say, I am partial since I am a Filipino-American, but judge it yourself. Above are ten of my favorite sunset pictures for your viewing pleasure. Enjoy! Comments, anyone? 2.
